Meghan McKnight

Meghan McKnight is an emerging contemporary painter whose highly tactile abstract works are influenced by her interest in botany, geology and zoology. She was born in Toronto in 1980 where she now works and lives. She is represented by p|m gallery in Toronto. 

McKnight holds B.A. (hons) in Visual Studies and English from the University of Toronto. Since 2004 she has had two solo shows at p|m gallery, Toronto and has exhibited with p|m gallery at international art fairs such as Mexico Arte Contemporaneo and Toronto International Art Fair. Group shows include Propeller Centre, Red Head, and the Drake Hotel in Toronto and the Flux Factory in Queens, New York. In 2005, McKnight was short-listed for the RBC National Painting Competition.
