BiographyAfter moving my practice as a family physician to a bigger location, it occured to me to convert my former downtown location to an art gallery. Because the space still holds a lot of history for me, I want it to continue to evolve and be used for the benefit of the community. I have recently been exposed to Art as Therapy. I have seen oncology patients improve their pain threshold though art and in the evolution of their work, I have witnessed their emotional release. We all aspire to this feeling of calm and peace and I hope this spirit will stay alive within these walls. Medicine is my career, but art is my passion. I have always painted but I feel this is the time to show my art and to share this space with other regional artists. My aim is to give this gallery a professional and contemporary edge that will make it unique in Niagara. A Mano Libera means Free Hand in Italian - which is my heritage. |
